The Yonkers Church, of the Latvian Ev. Luth.
Church of New York, is in the City of Yonkers, NY, about one third mile north of
the New York City, Bronx border.
Within the Yonkers Church building is also the
Latvian School and several social halls.

Directions:
On the church congregations web site (see
previous paragraph) under "Ceļa norādījumi" you will find a
printable map for the Yonkers church (IZDRUKĀJAMA KARTE: JONKERU BAZNĪCA) and
other congregation properties. The Yonkers Church is one block to the West, on
Valentine Lane, from South Broadway (US Route 9), in the South East of Yonkers
about a third of a mile from the New York City and Bronx border.
By public transportation:
From New York City (Manhattan) the closest Subway station is on the #1
line's Van Cortlandt Park / 242 Street, which is the last stop. Then after going
down the stairs from the elevated subway station transfer to a bus to continue
going north. You may take (MTA) New York City Transit bus line #9, that will
take you to the Yonkers border, or the Westchester County Bee Line busses, that
will take you into Yonkers. All the busses go along Broadway. After stepping off
the bus, walk to Valentine Lane, where you will turn left. The Yonkers church
will be on the left at the corner of Leighton Avenue. The main entrance to the
church is on Leighton Avenue.
Express bus service is also available from Manhattan
via the BxM#1, BxM#2, and BxM#3 lines.
